Turning Cold & Windy

Updated: Monday, November 17th at 5:15 am

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for our northwestern countiesthrough 6pm this evening. This advisory is for the possibility of blowing snow which could lead to travel concerns.

A strong cold front will move through the state and bring us clouds and a few scattered flurries. The big news will be the strong winds and cold temperatures behind the front. Highs will only be in the teens this afternoon but a northwest wind at 20 to 30 mph will create wind chill values below zero. The wind will also cause blowing snow and reduced visibility as you head back to work and school.

Temperatures will be in the single digits tonight with a breezy west wind and wind chills below zero. It will be another breezy and cold day Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will slowly warm back into the mid 20s for the end of the work week with a few more flurries possible on Wednesday.
